Experience two humorous cantatas composed by Bach. In the Boerencantata, a farmer and his wife Mieke mock the unfair practices of the tax official Dieskau. The composition is a real comedia dell árte! It consists of no less than 24 parts based on folklore dances, songs and rhythms. The Boerencantata swings, is expressive and precisely tailored to the text.

'Orchestra Suite No. 2' consists of a number of dances that were performed at court in the 17th century: Rondeau, Sarabande, Minuet, Polonaise. The work ends with a very virtuoso badinerie! Katja Pitelina can show what she is worth in this composition.
